Nose

Dried fruits, raisins, probably one of the most sherried nose I’ve gotten from a Port Ellen, perhaps even a bit sulphruic, the zesty briny smokiness comes through after a bit

Body

Ah yes the body is exactly why I love this distillery, punch briny salty smoke accompanied by a touch of zestiness, gets increasingly sweeter & sherried towards the end with a slight spiciness

Finish

Long lingering smoky finish

Whiskyfun — Serge Valentin

Retrieved 05 October 2026

Serge praises the rich sherry, raisins, chocolate and peat, followed by smoke and fruit jams. A slight rubbery note keeps it from perfection; he awards 93 points.
