The oldest hand-filled Bowmore & not available for retail (which explains why it is running for £800+ in auctions, kinda ridiculous pricing if you ask me) as it was sold during Feis Ile 2026. Very enjoyable modern Bowmore bottled at a very respectable ABV that gives it the much needed extra oomph that most modern OB Bowmore lacks, definitely would be a good daily dram had it not been for the borderline insane price. This bottle makes me curious as to how insane the price of a 30yo hand-filled OB Bowmore would be in a couple of years!
Nose
Sweet, floral, subtle smoky nose
Body
A very balanced, slightly sweet & floral but still smoky Bowmore, sits right in the middle as it does not get too sweet/floral nor too smoky; slightly salty & waxy towards the end This flavor profile surprises me, considering that this a 199x Islay dram, in a very pleasant way
Finish
The finish is long, a bit sweet & tropical fruits
