Nose

Quite a sweet and floral nose, not as meaty as I would expect from a Cask Strength Caol Ila

Body

Definitely meaty smoky and alot of oomph, hits like a truck and the sweetness is still there, a bit spicy in the aftertaste; the spiciness/hotness is quite surprising for a 22 years old whisky

Finish

Long smoky finish, spicy and hot

Nose

Sweet and peaty, a bit briny and salty

Body

The body is definitely cask-forward with the olorosso sherry sweetness and there's a bit of smokiness but quite subtle, honey, caramel, quite easy to drink despite the high ABV; a bit too sweet for my liking

Finish

Long, dry, mouthcoating finish, slightly sweet and gets a bit spicy towards the end, as expected due to the young age of the whisky

Nose

Meaty, smoky, typical Ardbeg nose, very punchy and aggressive but also quite sweet

Body

Meaty, definitely sweet, but there's a good balance between the smokiness and sweetness as either dominates, BBQ bacon, pork ribs, gets a bit hot as expected due to the young age

Finish

Medium dry finish, more sweet than smoky

Nose

Smoky, floral, sweet, quite an elegant nose and not something I would expect from a modern Bowmore

Body

Very sweet, then gets a bit spicy and peppery, the smoke is quite subtle as it is dominated by the sweetness & floral notes, quite an easy to drink, does not feel like 52% at all

Finish

Long sweet finish, slightly bitter towards the end

Quite a good modern sherry whisky and definitely very good value for money when compared to an OB Macallan 21 as this is less than half of the price (only ~300€)

Nose

Very nutty, creamy, dark chocolates

Body

Creamy, nutty, chocolates, hazelnuts, very sweet, dark fruits, prunes, dates, modern sherry style

Finish

Slightly spicy, long finish, sweet, creamy

An excellent Talisker that reminds you that sometimes in the world of whisky, age is just a number

Nose

A very gentle & elegant nose for a 60% whisky, the smoke is very subtle although it is still obviously a more sea smoke & briny, sweet, salty, honey, slightly zesty

Body

Salty, mouthcoating, definitely a lot of sea smoke & oomph (as expected from a 60% whisky), oranges, not as hot or spicy as I would expect from a NAS whisky (a very good thing!)

Finish

Long, smoky, slightly creamy finish

Good fruity Clynelish, does not taste young at all (no spiciness or hot)

Nose

Bright fresh fruits, oranges, sweet, honey, caramel sugars

Body

Thin palate, as expected from the ABV, again quite sweet, pears, oranges, a bit creamy, floral, very easy to drink despite being quite youthful

Finish

Short sweet finish, vanilla, peaches

Nose

A very meaty smoky nose, reminds me more of Caol Ila than Octomore, sweet, a bit floral

Body

Salty, briny, sea smoke, a bit of BBQ burnt ends, then comes a bit of honeyed sweetness, gets a bit spicy overtime as expected due to the young age

Finish

Long smoky finish, salty, slightly spicy finish

Salty, briny, zesty, oyster, seasmoke, quite an elegant and gentle smoky nose despite the high ABV

Finish

Long, sweet, and slightly spicy finish, the smoke lingers and it's a very clear salty briny seasmoke
