A good punchy Brora but the soapiness makes it a bit disappointing, especially at 120 SGD for a 2cl pour

Nose

Beautiful sweet fruity nose with a hint of peat, minerals, salty, honestly a very pleasant & elegant nose but perhaps not as much oomph as you would expect given the ABV

Body

WOW, the palate is definitely very smoky and even burning (spicy) at times, definitely sweet & floral, borderline perfumy actually, with water it’s definitely better but still a bit spicy towards the end

Finish

A mellow, fruity, and long finish

Angus MacRaild praises the honeyed, waxy, oily texture and coastal salinity. Water softens the palate; peat remains restrained. The very long finish brings shellfish, preserved lemon and thyme. He awards 93 points.
