A promising dram from a promising up-and-coming distillery, looking forward to seeing what they have to offer in a few years as their whiskies approach the 20yo mark

Nose

A peated Smogen, interesting nose as it feels similar to a Caol Ila, meaty smoke, slightly sweet, BBQ

Body

The body is definitely that of a young whisky bottled at 60%, young, brash, hot, and alot of oomph

Finish

Dry long finish, with a slightly hot & spicy ending

Whiskyfun finds chalk, tart apple, bread and light medicinal notes. The palate brings quince, ash, sea water, pepper and lemon; water adds honey. Serge praises the focused, long finish and awards 91 points.
