An enjoyable blend at a respectable age, wish the palate could be more full (perhaps bottled at a higher ABV)

Nose

Beautiful old sherry nose

Body

Dried fruits, raisins, dates, plums, sweet, slightly bitter towards the end but nothing overwhelming

Finish

Long sweet finish, dried fruits lingers

Nose

Sea smoke, salty, intense & young nose

Body

Surprisingly sweet, floral, fruity, definitely not what I would expect from a dram of Arran, more of a summer dram

A promising dram from a promising up-and-coming distillery, looking forward to seeing what they have to offer in a few years as their whiskies approach the 20yo mark

Nose

A peated Smogen, interesting nose as it feels similar to a Caol Ila, meaty smoke, slightly sweet, BBQ

Body

The body is definitely that of a young whisky bottled at 60%, young, brash, hot, and alot of oomph

Finish

Dry long finish, with a slightly hot & spicy ending

Nose

Typical Lowlands nose, grassy, fresh, fruity, sweet, slightly creamy

Body

The body is definitely sweet & grassy, very fresh, slightly funky actually but also gets bitter towards the end With water the sweetness becomes more subtle but the bitterness remains, the aftertaste becomes more grassy & funky

Finish

A long & slightly bitter aftertaste
