Nose

On the nose its more fruity and sweet than peaty & smoky, which is somewhat expected from the color, a very light elegant coastal smoke

Body

Honey, caramel, slightly meaty, full bodied, waxy & coating, definitely more punchy than the 46% ABV would suggest With water the sweetness becomes more pronounced, the smokiness only appears toward the end

Finish

Long, slightly bitter finish

Chris Goodrum — Lombard Brora tasting notes

Retrieved 05 October 2026

Chris Goodrum describes tart citrus, honey and mature American oak. The palate is crisp, mineral and creamy, with white fruit, barley and lime. He praises its balance; the long citrus and mineral finish carries subtle dried-fruit notes.
