A good 1970s Talisker definitely with a more complex nose & palate compared to the UD Talisker 1989 27 Years Old 51,6%. A rare case in which, in a side-by-side comparison, I enjoy the dram with a significantly lower ABV. This Talisker would have been a much more enjoyable dram with a bit more peat / smokiness

Nose

Maritime smoke, also peppery but there’s also some creaminess and a slight floral note, definitely a more complex nose

Body

Caramel, burnt sugars, salty, slightly zesty

Finish

Medium, slightly dry finish
