The finish was disappointing, not what I would expect from a 1960s Bruichladdich

The finish was disappointing, not what I would expect from a 1960s Bruichladdich

Nose

Light fruity but not too much of an old school whisky nose, quite fresh, typical honeydew & melon from old Bruichladdichs

Body

Fruity, honey, very sweet, floral, slightly creamy

Finish

Very long finish but runs slightly spicy & hot

The critic finds earthy, smoky and old herbal liqueur notes instead of the usual fruitiness. A lengthy finish carries salt and ash; slight old-bottle influence is possible.
