The finish was disappointing, not what I would expect from a 1960s Bruichladdich
Light fruity but not too much of an old school whisky nose, quite fresh, typical honeydew & melon from old Bruichladdichs
Fruity, honey, very sweet, floral, slightly creamy
Very long finish but runs slightly spicy & hot
Superb starter bottle & surprisingly good despite being the cheapest Port Ellen I’ve ever bought
Meaty smoke with subtle hint of floral
Peaty, intense smoke, much more intense & overwhelming than the 43% would suggest, creamy, slightly peppery & citrus
Slightly salty, long finish, amongst the longest finish for a 43% Islay
