A very surprisingly Islay dram but very typical of 1960s Bruichladdich, a delicate and enjoyable fruitbomb! Would definitely have loved it more if there were some smoky notes!
Nose
Orchard fruits, yogurts, sweet, zesty, slightly menthol, slightly floral/grassy, a very delicate nose, the Greek yogurt smell definitely stands out!
Body
Definitely an Islay fruit bomb with no signs of smoke, slightly sour (almost yogurt-like), strawberry-like, grassy, herbal, gets progressively sweeter towards the end
Finish
Long dry finish, slightly spicy & hot on the tongue but nothing overwhelming, sticky strawberry jams
