An interesting youthful Bunna, a dram dictated by the Moine Cask, making it very smoky

Nose

Slightly meaty, BBQ peat smoke, surprising for a Bunna

Body

Definitely the smokiest Bunna I’ve drank, with an added layer of honeyed sweetness

Finish

The finish & aftertaste is where the dram becomes noticeably sweeter & even slightly bitter & spicy showing its youthfulness, signs of the typical Bunna fruitiness

Nose

Typical old sherried nose, dates, prunes, dark dried fruits

Body

Definitely amongst the sweetest whisky I’ve drank, on one hand it definitely is able to mask the youthfulness of an 11yo whisky but on the other hand it is just sweet and taste more like a dessert wine

Nose

Dark fruits, cherry, honey, sweet, slightly menthol, a quite beautiful & complex nose

Body

A delicate balance between sweet, dark fruits, and slight bitterness, like a sweeter old sherried whisky, cranberries, A surprisingly long & mouthcoating finish for a 43% whisky, bitter but not in a terrible way

Finish

A very rare Tomatin from the top tier Italian bottler Sestante; good complex Highland dram from the 80s
