A legendary bottle from Laphroaig and one that, despite the 43% ABV, still manage to impress me everytime I drink it. Definitely one of the better OB Laphroaigs although a higher ABV would have probably boosted this towards a must-have bottle

Nose

Typical seaweed, iodine, maritime peat nose

Body

Tropical fruits, sweet, balanced with the sea saltiness & delicate peat

Finish

Slightly dry finish

An over-sherried Clynelish that lacks any notable Clynelish notes with mainly just the taste of the cask itself

Nose

Dark fruits, raisins, chocolates, dates, prunes

Body

Sweet, sulphur, peppery

An interesting dram with a very distinct nose & finish but the light body makes it slightly disappointing

Intense fruitbomb, dill, pickles, creamy, typical honey & beeswax

Body

Sweet & slightly spicy, light body as expected from the 43,1%

Finish

Gingery finish, dry spices, hints of orange

Superb nose, intense sea smoke mixed with fresh fruits, deserves at least 92-93 for the nose

A nice sweet & slightly smoky/salty Longrow that does not taste as young as the age suggests, the finish is definitely what drags this down but still a good, serviceable OB daily dram

Nose

Fresh fruits with hints of smoke, mineral

Body

Apples, slightly peaty, nutmeg, slightly salty, towards the end the fruitiness turns darker, raisins & prunes

Finish

Long, slightly bitter & oaky finish

A nice young Clynelish from the 80s that shows how a 12yo bottled at 40% can do the job in the good old days

Nose

Peaty, lemon, beeswax, very intense nose despite the low ABV

Body

Honey, sweet, hints of sweet fruits, slightly peppery towards the end
