The Amber Room ledger

A single cask 32 years old Rosebank from Gordon & Macphail at 80SGD for a 2cl pour, a beautiful bottle and amazing Lowland nose but the body and finish falls off

The much higher ABV makes this a more difficult dram to drink, although there’s definitely more complexity & a thicker, more enjoyable body

Surprisingly easy to drink dram (apart from the finish)

These San Obair bottlings are always overpriced imo as they come in expensive crystal decanters that does not make the whisky magically taste better, anyways, excited to try a Bladnoch from 1980! Always exciting to try these old Lowland drams, apart from the ridiculously overpriced OB Rosebanks of-course

A good Lowlands dram with no noticeable off-note (bitter/spicy). Does not change my view that Rosebank is very overpriced

A good single cask warmup budget typical Lowlands dram that will not burn through your wallet like the Rosebanks and some Bladnochs or Daftmills

Surprisingly good for a 17yo whisky and honestly these Lowland whiskies are starting to grow on me despite the price premium

Very easy to drink, fresh summer dram with a medium finish & lingering spices
