Nose
Certainly a very impressive nose with a perfect mixture between peat smoke & sherry sweetness, definitely one of the best nose for a Caol Ila that I’ve experienced
Body
Smoky, alot of oomph, but balanced out by honey sweetness, amazing how sweet it is from the color, I would not have guessed that this is a sweet Islay whisky. The smoke is more subdued than I expected
Finish
Long finish, the sweet lingers ending with some peat but not a BBQ meaty smokiness that I would expect from a Caol Ila
